Training
Telcotec was the original designer and developer of MINSAT, the Administration Node in Charging System. Telcotec now plays a major part in the continuing design and development of MINSAT in Charging System 4 and so are well placed to provide specialist training around the MINSAT Administration Node.
Many of the activities described in the training courses below require major changes to the customer site and proper training will ensure both minimum disruption to the customer and adherence to any downtime schedule.
Telcotec provides the following courses as standard:
MINASAT Installations, Upgrade and Expansions (IUE)
This course covers the lifecycle of a MINSAT Administration Node. It explains how to initially install and configure MINSAT, then how to apply software upgrades to MINSAT as part of the Charging System upgrade process, and the implications of doing this. Finally, it covers the expansion process which enables customers to increase the capacity of their MINSAT systems as the subscriber base increases. This expansion involves the addition of new hardware and the reconfiguration of the MINSAT databases.
MINSAT Migrations
Customers who are using a different administration node to MINSAT and wish to move to MINSAT must perform a migration process which moves the subscriber data from the old system to MINSAT. This process is typically carried out over an extended period and so must be managed attentively. This course describes how to carry out that process and how to use the MINSAT Migration Toolset effectively.
MINSAT Foundation
This course is designed for Ericsson 1st line support engineers or as an introduction to MINSAT for operators’ on-site staff. It covers the basic design of the MINSAT Framework, DR processing, configuration, interfaces and basic management processes.
MINSAT Bespoke Courses
Operators around the world have different requirements for their administration node and therefore utilise MINSAT in many different ways. Telcotec is very happy to provide quotations for bespoke training courses in any aspect of MINSAT. These courses can be delivered here in Telcotec or locally at the Ericsson offices or customer site.
